Each team will have to make it to the final destination with all the pieces of the secret object. Once you get to the final destination you will need to figure out what the secret object is and put it together. The first three teams to complete the mission will win a prize. Teams will travel on foot and will need to figure out clues which will lead you to your next location. At each location, there will be a hidden object which you must keep safe until your final destination. The race will begin as the whistle blows. Each team must grab their bag which will have a map and your first clue. Use the bag to keep the secret items safe. This event will take most of the day and involve a lot of walking. We will have support teams at various locations and water and snack stations will be set up.

Join us for a great class where you will learn what the 7 priorities of survival are. You will have hands-on practice to master the skills needed to survive. These are skills everyone should know before heading out into the wilderness or in a natural or man-made disaster. A short day hike can easily turn into a survival situation. So before you head on the trail, come learn how to survive should things go wrong. Have the confidence that you can handle any situation that may arise. You will also learn what items you should always carry with you.

Join us for a hike then enjoy some relaxing yoga afterward. We will hike the Mountain Creek Nature Trail. Though less strenuous, it is also one of the prettiest as it passes through several plant habitats. We will hike a relaxed pace, enjoy our surroundings, and have great conversations. After our hike, we will relax our bodies with yoga. Never tried yoga before, no worries, this class is for beginners. Perfect ending to our hike!

This event will occur August 12th, 2018 at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center and is the sole fundraiser for the M. L. P. Scholarship. Donations support the scholarship. This is a need-based scholarship that supports students who have a desire to attend New Bethel Adventist Christian Academy, but lack the financial ability to do so without financial assistance. Margaret L. Parker is an educator who loves children and works tirelessly to ensure children obtain the education they desire. We invite you to help make this a reality for many of the children in this community by making a donation. We have seen tremendous growth in the students that attend New Bethel Adventist Christian Academy academically, socially, physically, spiritually, behaviorally, and mentally as we focus on the development of the whole child.
