Columbus Salutes the Centennial Community Celebration
Columbus Salutes the Centennial 1918-2018 presented by TSYS! See history come alive and see the National Infantry Museum like you’ve never seen it before!
Please join us Saturday, February 24 from 9am to 3pm at the National Infantry Museum for a community-wide celebration of Fort Benning’s 100th anniversary. Living historians will be stationed throughout the museum to tell stories behind the exhibits and artifacts that trace Infantry history from 1775 to the present. This is a FREE event and open to the public.
The museum will be bustling with family-friendly activities:
• FREE documentaries in the Giant Screen Theater
• FREE small popcorn and drink at the Rally Point Canteen
• FREE session on the DownRange Combat Simulators
• PLUS… a Maneuver Center of Excellence robotics demonstration on the Courtyard, boot camp with Kelly’s Zeroes, tanks and armored vehicles in the parking lot and helicopters on the parade field, live music by the MCoE band, a parachute jump by the Silver Wings, a climbing wall, uniform dress-up room for kids and more. Food will be available for purchase in an outdoor food court, the Fife and Drum restaurant and thew Rally Point Canteen.
*Coolers, grills and pets, other than service dogs, are not permitted. Weapons are prohibited. Bags larger than 11” x 6” x 15” are not permitted inside the museum or on the museum campus. Bag checks and wand scans will be conducted to ensure guest safety. Smart bags are prohibited from the museum and the museum campus.
